The first part of Get SchoolED will be focused on multiple table talks regarding the Philly Education Landscape after Ami Patel Hopkins (Philadelphia Education Fund) gives a brief overview of education in Philadelphia:
--What does it mean to have fair funding in PA? - Shanee Garner (Public Citizens for Children and Youth) and Danielle Wolfe (High Impact Philanthropy)
--Who is governing our schools and why the controversy? - Sophie Bryan (School District of Philadelphia) and Patrick Christmas (Committee of Seventy)
--How can parents or soon to be parents help improve schools? - Leigh Botwinik (Freire Charter School) and Tom Wyatt (Passyunk Square Civic Association)
The second part will be focused on the Get Involved piece. This piece will consist of several education organizations who will be discussing ways individuals can get involved.
